I, Chadwick B. Hammonds, Attorney at Law, am a native of Berea, Kentucky, where my practice is located. I have been practicing law since May, 2009, after serving as a staff attorney since 2005 for a public interest organization located here in Kentucky. My office is conveniently located off I-75, Exit 76 in Berea, behind the Dinner Bell Restaurant and is only 15-minutes away from Richmond, Kentucky and Mount Vernon, Kentucky. I routinely practice in the courts throughout Central and South Central, Kentucky, including, but not limited to the cities of Berea, Richmond, Irvine, Winchester, McKee, London, Stanford, Lancaster and Lexington, Kentucky.

Although debtor representation in chapter 7 & 13 bankruptcy is an emphasis of my practice, a large amount of my practice is also dedicated to civil litigation, criminal defense, personal injury & auto accidents, divorce, custody, adoption, and wills and estate matters. Bankruptcy
Debtor representation in chapter 7 and chapter 13 bankruptcy is an emphasis of the practice. If you are facing wage garnishment, repossession, foreclosure or relentless collection calls, a consultation will tell you whether bankruptcy is the right tool for your situation — and what it would actually discharge.
Injury
Auto wrecks, premises liability and other injury claims, handled personally from the first call through settlement. There is no money required up front; the fee is paid out of any recovery.
Consumer
Claims involving unfair, deceptive or abusive practices, including violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and discharge violations by collectors pursuing debts already wiped out in bankruptcy.
Collections
Defense against debt-buyer lawsuits in Madison County and the surrounding Kentucky courts. Collectors who bought your account for pennies frequently cannot produce the documents needed to prove the debt is theirs to collect.
Foreclosure
Representation for Kentucky homeowners served with a foreclosure complaint, including review of standing and loan documentation and the options available through chapter 13 to cure an arrearage over time.

Background
I earned my Bachelors of Arts Degree in Political Science from Eastern Kentucky University in 1999 and earned my Juris Doctorate Degree from Ohio Northern University, Pettit College of Law, in 2004. I have been licensed to practice law in Kentucky since 2005 and licensed to practice in the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Kentucky, U.S. Bankruptcy Court, since 2005 as well.
I am a member of the Kentucky Bar Association and the Madison County Bar Association. I am married and have a daughter and I am committed to family and to serving my community.
